Not often does a traveler to Thailand not include a beachside destination in their travel intinerary. The best beaches we recommend in order of preference would be Koh Nang Yuan beaches near Koh Toa two hours by boat from Koh Samui, Chaweng Beach and Lamai Beaches at Koh Samui, Railway and Ao Nang Beaches off Krabi, Koh Phi Phi beaches of Phuket and Krabi, Koh Samet Beaches two hours from Pattaya, Kata and Karon Beaches at Phuket and Cha-Am Beach twenty kilometres from Hua Hin.

Beach quality varies at each region due to many factors including climate, position in the Gulf of Thailand or the Andaman Sea, and the amount of sporting activities available to visitors such as Jet Skis that stir up the water and also provide noise pollution.
