One specialty that Thailand has is organised Guided Tours. No matter what region you are in, you can expect many tour operators offering half day and full day tours to attractions surrounding that area. Most full day tours offer pickup and dropping off to your accommodation plus a local Thai lunch wherever you may be at that time. Most tour operators ask you to be at your accommodations lobby about 5 minutes before the designated pickup time. However do expect to wait up to half an hour over the pickup time especially in Bangkok due to travel delays - they will be there. Guided tours available at your hotels tour desk are normally 20% more expensive than if you purchase a tour at a street based operator. All bookings are confirmed immediately stating the pickup time. Most tour booking operators based in shops will provide credit card facilities however a small surcharge of 1 to 2% will be added as their profit margins are quite small. When arriving at the Domestic Airports in Thailand you will be presented with a tour desk. Expect to pay around 30 to 40% more for that tour if you book locally on your arrival. I would recommend using them to plan your local bookings when reaching your destination. If you only have a few
days at a particular destination my recommendation is to pre-book
the tours you have to see in Australia before you go. The cost is
quite high but many tours are only available if minimum numbers are
