At some point in one travels to Thailand relaxation will be required either due to long tours or frantic shopping adventures. If deluxe spas are not what you desire then why not pamper yourself with a cheap traditional Thai or Thai oil message for one or two hours. Traditional Thai cuisine cooking classes are very popular in Thailand due not only to the popularity of the food but also from the relaxation you get while preparing and eating your freshly made dishes. Chiang Mai in the north is the home for Cooking Classes in half day, full day or even master courses taking a full week. No matter what type of course you choose expect to visit the local food markets to select your ingredients. You will also be provided with a recipe book which you can take home to re-create your favourite dishes with your family and friends. Self guided walking tours are an excellent way to relax while in a particular location. I recommend doing them in the morning or afternoon to avoid the midday heat. Two of the best walking tours would be the Old City Wall and the Canals around Chiang Mai.
